My Liberty is the San Mateo Tea Party

We are a small but very committed tea party in very blue San Mateo county CA called: www.mylibertysanmateo.com We have over the past 6 years gotten involved with likeminded people, Republican, Libertarian, Democrats. We are strictly fiscal responsible, Constitutional, and free market focused. We will support any candidate, or party who supports those principles. We are involved with the Tea Party California Caucus.    As such we have gotten many members as delegates to the California Republican convention. We actually marched through the recent Republican convention in Burlingame CA singing God Bless American waving the flag. I think it was historic. This is in the very BLUE California. We are the tea party. We are America of the 21st century. We do not want to continue to lose elections. We are activists. We will win elections especially on the local level. We will find responsible candidates, vet candidates, phone bank, walk precincts, and support them with donations. Join us. We are you. Carole

Choosing a Party

Here is a great article by Stephen Frank: Why I Am a Tea Party Member

"...I am a consistent, Constitutional conservative.  No longer am I willing to be part of an organization that divides the conservative movement or harms conservatives.  I will no longer work with Corporate Republicans, folks that kill off conservatives, while calling themselves conservatives..."

It's a good read. Check it out.

Union Busting Øbama Style

When Øbama talks about Governor Walker "union-busting", I think it's time we clarify:

There's a difference between a Private Sector Union and a Public Sector Union.

1) If Chevrolet decides to treat with a union, and give in to every demand it makes, and the price of their cars goes up as a result, I as a consumer have the choice to support that action by buying a higher priced Chevy, or NOT support that action by buying a cheaper, better car from another maker.

2) When the government decides to treat with a union, it comes to my house with a gun and steals my money in order to give the union members what they demand.

Note the difference.

Tea Partiers are okay with option #1.

BOOCUG

I have limited my vision to a laser-wide view.

There is only one political problem in the United States. Everything else is a symptom and/or a result of the original, fundamental problem.

It's not rocket science. It's Big, Out-Of-Control, Unconstitutional Government.

That's all there is. All else is vanity.

Too poetic? Whatever. You get the point. No matter what the issue, it can be laid at the feet of BOOCUG.

Currency issues your problem? Big Government inflating the currency is the culprit.

Free Trade your issue? Big Gummint seeks to dominate and control the marketplace.

Abortion your bugaboo? Big Gummit is funding Planned Parenthood; and has declared abortion legal in all 50 states without a vote or the say of the people (Roe v Wade = Central Govt Activist Supreme Court).

Illegal Immigration your problem? Big Government is feeding, educating, paying and medicating every illegal that comes across the border. Why would they leave?

Dreadful education piss you off? Big Government's interference and mandates and Department of Education foisting all sorts of politically correct nonsense on our schools, teachers and local districts is the problem.

Government bankrupting the nation? Big Gummint spending out of control without restraint...

Government workers outrageous salaries, benefits and lifetime pensions stuck in your craw? Big Government IS unionized government workers...

There is only ONE problem: Big Out-Of-Control Unconstitutional Government.

And we should spend every bit of energy only on things that directly impact that:

1) finding candidates that will go to Washington (and State houses) and dismantle Leviathan
2) learn and do whatever it takes to get them elected
3) watch them like hawks and make sure they do what they promised.

Every other issue will take care of itself as long as we make this happen.

I may be really, really pissed off...but I am really, really clear on the concept.

Egypt and Islamists and Democracy

I love it when I don't have to explain things....because someone else has already done it for me...heh heh.

Is there a better analysis of the Egyptian situation than this?
