Energy Bill

Just because Ă˜bamaCare is on the front burner, let's not forget about the other disaster-in-the-making, Crap 'n Tax.

And yes, it is just about as exciting as that title. But....if we want to fight it, we have to understand it.

Sigh...

  3. Excuse me, two left wing sites do not a consensus make. The arguments against Waxman-Markley are overwhelming. A vast increase in the cost of energy, resulting in a new Great Depression in this country - while the increases in CO2 emissions from China and India dwarf any reduction in CO2 from this country. And, let's face it, Anthroprogenic Global Warming is a hoax. Don't belive me? Ask renowned physicist Freeman Dyson.

Our livelihood is at stake here. This is not an idle exercise or a game.

  4. Fair enough, but to turn it aroun; one theoretical physicist does not debunk a theory that a majority of the scientific community holds. No one know for sure, right?
So if you read those articles, and I suggest you do I read wtps link, you'd see that most folks acknowledge that W-M is far less than perfect.
There is a better than good chance that GW is NOT a hoax, so I am all for doing something now. the condition of our livelihood means nothing when the planet collapses from our overuse of resources.

  5. Why is "Anonymous" anonymous? Funny how we hear about"the majority of the scientific community" but the 700 or more scientists who've debunked it as a hoax never get mentioned. Oh well. If I were that dopey I'd want to hide, too. I've lived long enough to remember Paul Erlich in the 70s, the coming ice age predictions of about the same period and the scientific community recommending painting the Artic and Antartic black to attract heat! Yup. Really. I guess they were going to dump soot or something.

It goes on and on and as always, just follow the money. Oh I forgot. Al Gore isn't interested in the money, just his fellow man.

    Yawn.
