You do realize that this is Ronald Regan critizing Medicare, right? This is from operation teacup - in all of it's red-baiting glory. His whole premise proved to be completely false - that government run healthcare would end up controlling where doctors could practice, and lead to the government telling we the citizens where we could go, and where we could work. He sure got THAT wrong - Turns out the private sector - insurance agencies - do that.

Doctors are being told what they can charge, and lots of patients are having a VERY hard time finding doctors that will accept Medicare. The number is shrinking every day. You need to speak to an actual physician instead of listening to the Øbamabots at the AMA.
And let's not forget the costs...totally out-of-control. Medicare is breaking the budget, and cannot be sustained.
But, once again, this is all quite beside the point, which is Liberty.
Anything that increases the power or size of government, or diminishes individual liberty is BAD.
