I went to a local one yesterday...no where near that turnout...heck, there's not that many people who live around here...but is was the best I've attended yet. I took my dog Stretch, and he is now officially the head of the local chapter of "We The Dogs".
The speakers were excellent...well researched.
It was good. Nothing like spending an afternoon with like minded people.
You are correct: The people are coming, and they are pissed.
Reports are that the crowd exceeded 1.5 million people. Individual accounts state that when the crowd dispersed, there was no litter, there were no arguments or fights, just civilized, mature citizens conducting themselves in a dignified manner befitting patriotic Americans. How refreshing compared to the crowds of thugs that turn out regularly for any San Francisco event in the hopes of raising a little anarchy. I'm very impressed with our fellow 9-12ers and although I couldn’t physically be there, I was with them is spirit!
