The Deception of Perception

Chapter I -- It Is A Republic Not A Democracy

Our Founding Fathers gave us a Constitutional Republic and guaranteed that all states would have a Republican Form of Government. Please do not confuse a Constitutional Republic with the Republican Party; nor should you confuse a Democracy with the Democratic Party. Let us define a Republic, so there will be no confusion. We shall also define a Democracy.

America’s Founding Fathers modeled their new government on the Roman Republic, based on set laws and not by public whim. They knew that in order to have a stable government it must have fixed laws with the ability to modify them as the country grew; but the Constitution must remain solid and strong. The Constitution would put limits on the Government and grant rights to the people. The Constitution divided the government into 3 branches Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. We all recognize these from our civics class in high school. I am sorry some of you didn’t feel that staying awake or learning civics was important. Well you should have listened and studied harder, because today we have a Republic/Democracy and we are drifting further left into an Oligarchy.

The Constitution gave the President and Vice President the power over the Executive Branch. The President would be Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. Now in order to control this power the Constitution gave the Congress the power to appropriate funds for the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch. We will get back to this relationship later. Now the President was given the authority by the Constitution to enforce the laws of America, but now the President not only enforces the legislative laws, but makes laws through Executive Orders. These Executive Orders are illegal, case in point. President Roosevelt incarcerated all Japanese Americans (some born and raised in America) because we had declared war upon Japan. I have heard many excuses for this action, but they are all unconstitutional. In the Bill of Rights a person’s liberty may only be abridged when due process has occurred. So why do we allow this policy to continue. Some will say that this expedites procedures so the government can function more efficiently. That is a bunch of Bull Shit, the Founding Fathers wanted the President only to enforce the Constitution and any subsequence laws past by Congress, not make up the rules as we go.

Next let us look at the Legislative Branch of government, the Congress of the United States; made up of two houses. The lower house to be known as the House of Representatives and their numbers shall be based on the population of the various states. The larger states would have more Representatives than the smaller states. The upper house would have two Senators each. This was to guard against mob rule. The Senate would also have the power to confirm all appointments by the President (many of this Presidents appointments have not even been vetted or confirmed) and they would also ratify all treaties the United States would enter into. It is not by accident that the Senate has this power. This guarantees that all states will be represented equally in these procedures. Again another check that the mobs would not come and over through the “Rule of Law” The United States Constitution. Now the Founding Fathers were not against changing the Constitution they just wanted to make it a thoughtful process. If we don’t like the Constitution we first must get two-thirds of the Congress to approve the change; then get three-fourths of the state legislatures to agree with the change. This would assure that any changes to the Constitution would be debated, and that a super majority of the people would deem it necessary. This keeps our government stable by allowing it to change, but only after careful thought and debate has occurred. Furthermore, Congress was only given 17 enumerated constitutional jurisdictions, and none of them are Health Care.

Last but not least is the Judicial Branch consisting of the Supreme Court and any inferior courts that the Congress deems necessary. This branch of government has two functions. The lower courts are charged with trying any person who willfully and knowingly violates either the Constitution or any subsequent statues that Congress has enacted. The Supreme Court shall be the final arbitrator in deciding Case Law and the Constitutionality of the laws.

There is one more part to the Constitution; that is the Bill of Rights” Some people refer to them as the first ten amendments. No, these are all or none. These were passed as a package to guarantee the “Rights of the People”, and the “Power of the States” and the absolute limitations of the Federal Government. The first 8 Amendments in the “Bill of Rights” details each absolute right of the people and each state shall have. The IX and X Amendments state IX. The enumeration in the constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

X. The powers not delegated to the United States by the constitution, nor prohibited to it by the states, are reserved to the states respectfully, or to the people.

The Constitution is not a complicated document. It was established to limit the power of government and to guarantee inalienable rights of the people. So please read your Constitution and Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments 11-27. Liberty is a constant vigil to ensure freedom for all. It is not a question of Right or Left but Right or Wrong. Our government is suppose to work for us not to restrict our liberty and enslave us. So please study the issues and vote and take back our country to the people. Those in Washington selling government control of anything are lying bastards, except for those items listed in the Constitution. The Constitution is the Rule of Law and if you want to change it, you can but please follow the Rule of Law. Remember the “Washington Bastards” work for us and are answerable to the People. With all that has taken place this year, remember those Bastards in Washington voted themselves a pay raise with staff increases and we pay the tab. Does your boss pay for your commute to work? It is our country and we deserve and demand a better government; so impeach all the Bastards who can’t follow the Law. You would get fired for not following company policies and remember we are the Board of Directors for Our Government.
