Become a Precinct Committeeman!

This is a reprint from: The Precinct Project

Let's fill our Precinct Committees with 9.12/Tea Party Patriots!

This is the first step to revitalizing the Republican Party as the party of True Conservative Values!

It's up to us. There is nobody else. We are the New Founding Fathers...the ones the Future of Freedom is depending on!

Carol
------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy, outlined below, entails a tried-and-true, peaceful, Constitutional, ballot box solution to our present political predicament. The procedures and system for this solution have been in existence for decades. Obama used them.

If you think you already have the solution for stopping the Democrats’ headlong rush to destroy our country, I don’t want to waste your time.

Stop reading.

Stop wasting your time and do not read any further if you will not go to a Republican Party meeting or walk a precinct on behalf of a candidate. If the future of your country is worth a few hours a month outside your comfort zone, read on.

Just one or two generations ago, our forefathers all knew their precinct committeemen. My dad did (I’m 53 and I remember, when I was knee-high to a howitzer, the Kennedy-Nixon contest – my dad was, alas, a Kennedy guy. But I still adored my dad. He was my “main hero.”) My dad was a precinct committeeman.

Obama Used The Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy To Defeat Billary.
Need more recent evidence that the Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy can work? Obama and his minions used this Neighborhood Precinct Committeeman Strategy to defeat Hillary and Bill Clinton and the Democrat Party establishment in the Democrat Party presidential primaries. Obama and his backers came out of nowhere to defeat the complacent “powers that be” of the Democrat Party. You don’t have to believe me – see the evidence with your own eyes. Search YouTube using the search words obama precinct captain. That search will bring back many videos of brand new Democrat Party precinct committeemen (also referred to in some states as precinct captains) explaining how they were recruited into the Democrat Party’s precinct committeeman ranks and how important their efforts will be for Obama to win the nomination.

Washington vs the People

The Grassroots are not only restless, we are in Revolt! Too many Republican Party hacks still haven't gotten the message. Bill Wilson at the Washington Times, in his article The Restless Grassroots understands the problem:  the "Congressional wing and the people..."  Or as I prefer to frame it: The arrogant bastards in Washington vs We the People who hired them!
However, as recent events reveal, such a formulation misses the point. In fact, the real battle being waged is between Washington insiders - as represented by the congressional wing of the Republican Party - and grass-roots Americans from all walks of life throughout the country.
The actual events that prompted this observation were hardly anything of consequence. The gadfly, wannabe "cool" chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, issued a policy statement titled a "Health Care Bill of Rights." Within days, Senate Republicans led by Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander lashed out at Mr. Steele, intoning, "We are elected to set the policy."
And that, in a nutshell, points up the real fight being waged in Washington today. The congressional wing has grown alienated from the very people who sent them to Washington.
Looks like word is getting out. Now let's hope Washington is listening.

WSJ writer, typically, misses the point

About the NY House race in which the RINO candidate, Dede Scozzafava, is going to lose because the a third candidate, Doug Hoffman, who actually is a Conservative, is siphoning votes away from the pathetic GOP choice...

...the Journal writer has this to say:

But these newly energized conservatives present GOP leaders with a potential problem: The party's strategy for attracting moderate voters risks alienating activists who are demanding ideological purity, who may then gravitate to other candidates or stay at home. It's a classic dilemma faced by parties in the minority -- tension between those who want a return to the party's ideological roots and those who want candidates most likely to win in their districts.

He seems to think that this so-called "strategy" is a sensible one, a winning one, and is being "threatened" by the demands of the ideological extreme.

Sigh.

This conventional wisdom has been proven so wrong so many times in so many ways, by so many people that it's amazing that anyone who can read a cereal box still believes it.

We have to be vigilant against this false and self-defeating notion. We will hear it from friends, opponents, and certainly Party leadership. But, ultimately the GOP will learn to stand for conservatism, or it will go the way of the Whigs.

And honestly, I almost think it would be easier to create a new Conservative Party from scratch than to clean out the Augean Stable that is the Republican party

wtp

And before our very eyes...this is how it works!

Read the previous post for background on this one.

In a New York House race, evidence of the pressure of demanding Conservative bona fides, and refusing to just vote "R" is already netting results.

Yes, it's possible that the fight between the Conservative Party candidate and the Republican one may give a victory to the Democrat....this time. But look how fast the GOP is learning.

They see that it is necessary—in NEW YORK—to offer a Conservative candidate to capture what they once thought of as "Republican" voters. They're learning that they can no longer take them for granted —they even made her sign a Taxpayer Protection Pledge "to fortify her conservative credentials..."

Do you think that next time they'll nominate another "moderate" to run for that office if they lose the election because too many of their core voters voted for the Conservative Party candidate?

I'm thinking not.

Some rank-and-file House Republicans privately say they have written off Mrs. Scozzafava's chances in the Nov. 3 special election.

The members say she is a weak candidate who can't rally the district's conservative voters, echoing complaints of Republican-allied activist groups who complain that the pro-choice Mrs. Scozzafava is more liberal even than her Democratic opponent.

The question is, of course, why was this woman nominated in the first place? Why is she running as a Republican?

Because the GOP leadership has no more respect for conservative principles or voters than Democrat leadership.

And if she should win the election, or draw most of the Republican votes because Conservatives vote for the "R" just to keep the "D" out of office, the GOP will have learned nothing...and they'll feel free to foist another unacceptable candidate the next time, because Conservatives will have proved they can be frightened into voting for Party instead of Principle.

But the voters of New York, the Tea Party Patriots....by refusing to be stampeded by fear, and holding to Principles, are forcing the GOP to at least open one eye and smell the revolution—even if this time it's only resulted in their trying to put Conservative lipstick on a Liberal pig.

Somebody obviously got the message.

It's a good demonstration of the power of Principle over Party. And one we have to duplicate all over the country. Time for us to make it happen in San Mateo County —and California.

We can't let the New Yorkers show us up!

wtp

P.S. Can SOMEBODY please make Newt Gingrich go away!

The Pledge

When we began "We the People" of San Mateo County, we started with three goals:

1) Stop ObamaCare

2) Stop Cap & Trade

3) "Throw the Bums Out"

The first two are obvious. The third caused some consternation because traditional wisdom tells us that if you "throw" the Republican out...chances are you get a Democrat.

And everyone agrees that's a lousy result.

But for too long, we've been voting the "lesser of two evils"—and ended up with "evil" as our representative. Well, we see where that has got us. The state of the nation today is a direct result of that kind of thinking...and that kind of voting.

When you do what we did, you get what we've got.

Voting for the "R" just to keep the "D" out of office is NOT WORKING. We have the most corrupt, unresponsive, insulated, spendthrift, controlling, regulating, taxing government ever.

All we've done is give the Republicans permission to nominate principle-free party hacks with little or no respect for The People they're supposed to represent; weak-willed stooges who will do what they're told and are highly susceptible to the temptations of privilege, popularity, power and greed.

If we want our government to change—we have to change. And nothing will if we continue to do the same thing expecting different results.

We will only prove we are too stupid or too insane to govern ourselves.

We're not.

And all around us, people are figuring out that we have to change the way we do things, change the template, change the paradigm. Glenn Beck is the most prominent voice to proclaim that it's no longer about Parties, but about Principles. I suggest we listen.

Pajamas Media's Jeff Pope has joined that choir, and his piece today is essential reading if you want to understand just what we're up against, and why a new politics is critically important.

Unless we break the back of the insiders' club that is Washington, D.C. (and most State governments) we will continue on he road to serfdom, and bequeath our children, and theirs, a life of subjection instead of freedom.

As I see it, we have no choice if we are to ever call ourselves "Americans" with pride again.

We need to implement this program, or something like it. No more dancing with the devil. If the Republican Party wants to return to its roots as full-throated defenders of individual rights and the free market, of limited government, of low taxes, of less regulation...fine. They have to prove it. And if it takes losing a few elections because Republicans & Independents refuse to vote for squishy "moderate" political hacks they nominate, until they get the clear, strong and unequivocal message, SO BE IT.

It's the best, and perhaps the ONLY chance to make them obey us...instead of stampeding us down the road to perdition as they are doing now.

We must seek out candidates that are loyal to Principles, no matter what their party. And we must vote for them, even if it "wastes" our vote...because if we don't, nothing will ever change. If the Republicans see that they are losing because principled conservative third party or Independent candidates "take away too many votes", they'll start nominating principled conservative candidates. It's the law of the Free Market...you give your customers what they demand.

And THAT'S something most Republicans still understand.

The problem is not in the representative system of government; rather it is in the perversion of the government by the current people in office.

They need to go. Now."

Poor Lindsey

CFIF breaks it down
...
"But once again displaying his poor sense of timing and philosophical unseriousness, Senator Graham chose this week to jump head-first onto the wobbling global warming bandwagon. In a New York Times commentary that he chose to co-author with Senator John Kerry (D-MA), he called for… costly global warming legislation. Even more shamefully, he exposed his man-crush on Barack Obama by entitling his piece, Yes We Can (Pass Climate Change Legislation). "

Hard to Argue...

From the Mailbag...re: Throw the Bums Out!!
To all 535 voting members of the Legislator.

It is now official: You are morons

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775 - you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935 - you have had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938 - you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke..

War on Poverty started in 1964 - you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"; it hasn't worked.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 - you've had 44 years to get it right; they're broke

Freddie Mac was established in 1970 - you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke

Trillions of dollars in the massive political payoff called the TARP bill of 2009 shows NO sign of working.

And finally to set a new record:

"Cash for Clunkers" was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009!

So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that "services" you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system? 15% of our economy? Are you crazy?

Truly, the inmates are running the asylum! (And what does this say about voters who put such pond scum in office...hmmm? Maybe we need to let others in on this brilliant record before 2010 and just vote against incumbents.)

So once again... it's official, you are ALL morons, I don't care what your political leanings are.

Now it's up to us!

Anna Eshoo's Townhall

Please go to Jack's blog, The City Square, for photos of and commentary about Anna Eshoo's town hall meeting.
When I was present, there were no live questions from the audience. All questions were submitted in writing, screened, and read by Rep. Eshoo. Maybe it was just an off-day for her, but it seemed to me that she had a hard time stringing words into sentences, let alone combining sentences into coherent thoughts. Frequently, she would pick a question to read, then read it to the audience, then decide that she had answered it previously, then tell the audience that she was going to skip that question, and then start reading the next question. That she is one of this country's leaders is frightening.
Thanks, Jack, for the info and the great photos.

545 vs 300,000,000

Kristin and Jane sent this in. I've not check to see if Charley Reese is even a real person...'cause it doesn't matter. This is true, no matter who said it!

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..

If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it.......... Is up to you.

You already know what I say: "THROW THE BUMS OUT!"

Mindless Reaction

I don't know about anybody else, but I'm highly amused and somewhat bemused by the boneheaded politicians calling regular American folks Nazis and astroturf supported rent-a-mobs,  rude, unruly, and unpatriotic.

These people have lost their minds.

For a while I couldn't figure out how they could be so clueless, so politically tone-deaf, as to excoriate and insult the very people they need to agree with them to pass ObamaCare, and to vote for them in the next election.

Then suddenly I realized what was happening.

The Marxist Left has developed the knee-jerk tactic of demonizing and assassinating the character of anyone who disagrees with them. Obvious examples are Bush, Rush, Sarah, Glenn Beck, Clinton's women, Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas...but they do it to everyone they hate, without thought...without honor...without hesitation...

...and it often works. Mostly because they have the Slobbering Media on their side and in their pocket.

What we're seeing is the Marxist Left  (and their Media drones) respond as usual!

When regular American People disagreed with them...they automatically switched into demonization/character assassination mode. And they began to demonize regular American People.

It's not really that surprising. IT'S WHAT THEY DO.

What is surprising is that there is not a intellect among them—or their whores in the Media— bright enough to figure out that this is a stupid, self-defeating tactic to use against American Public itself...the citizens...the constituents...the voters!

What's funny is watching them cluelessly commit political suicide with what to them is a trusty old weapon that has unexpectedly blown up in their faces.

And they still haven't seemed to notice that rather than working as usual, even with the collaboration of their fellow travelers, the Media propagandists, they are igniting a storm that has exploded into something they don't understand, can't process, and is utterly beyond their control.

And they're scattering like scared rats...and lashing out like cornered ones.

When abuse, character assassination and demonization are the only weapons in your political arsenal, eventually you will face the opponent upon whom such tawdry, petty slings and arrows simply don't work.

I think they might be finding that out too late. Don't expect them to learn anything from it, however.

But it is an entertaining show.

APOLOGETICS: "Throw the Bums Out"

We had a great meeting Thursday evening, but there is one point that I feel did not get resolved satisfactorily. And I’d like to take this opportunity to explain it, because it appears to be somewhat unclear in definition and purpose and it caused concern to some of our members: The third point in the 3-Point Plan…"Throw The Bums Out!”

First let me make it clear that it is a Tactic, not a Goal.

“Throw The Bums Out” is [my name for] a strategy developed by a New England 9-12 Project. The idea is a simple one: Organize a WHOLE LOT of people to vote against the incumbent in every election.

It's the epitome of K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid):

You don’t have to know all the arguments for and against every candidate. You don’t have to keep up with the details of all the issues. On election day, you just vote against the incumbent.

And the result—the cashiering out of a lot of the Resident Evil in Washington—will put the fear of God into all of them, including the victorious challengers who will have seen, by the very fact of their election, that the voters are in no mood to put up with any more nonsense: That the voters, once again, are in charge.

And then…we tell them what to do…and they’ll know that there are real consequences for not doing it.

It's a good thing.

In itself, as a stand-alone "goal", there is nothing to be gained merely by removing incumbents - particularly if their replacements are worse. But that's not what we're proposing—

"Throw The Bums Out" is a means to the goals of:

1) the Destruction of the Imperial State;
2) the Draining of the Washington Swamp,
3) the Restoration of our Republic & its Constitution
4) the Reclamation our Heritage and Liberty,
5) the Return our of Government to “We The People”.

You see, we don’t just have the wrong people, we’ve got the wrong SYSTEM!

Washington has become a pile of money, a gold-plated lifestyle, an insider’s dream-world of privilege, money, power, extravagance, influence, prerogatives, deference and entitlements. And it breeds arrogance, elitism, narcissism, corruption, greed, vanity, pride, paranoia, thuggery and outright evil.

The Golden Honey of Washington has become an irresistible lure for exactly the wrong sort of creature. This problem didn’t start with Obama, and it won’t end with his defeat. It did not start with the Democratic Congress, and it won’t end with a Republican majority. This president and this Congress are merely the logical result of our corrupted and broken political system.

And if we don’t change it—if we don’t Drain the Swamp—Marxist, Progressive, Big Government scum like them will continue to rise to the surface again and again.

Our Founders created our form of government on the idea of “citizen legislators” who would return to their homes, farms and businesses after a term in office, and have to live under the laws they passed. They did this intentionally to keep government from becoming exactly what it’s become: A bloated, fat, rich, out-of-touch, out-of control, aristocracy that seeks to rule rather than govern, and exempts itself from the onerous avalanche of taxes, regulations, restrictions and encroachments of liberty it forces on the rest of us.

And this scabrous aristocracy does not respect us. Nor does it fear us. Indeed, with every passing decade, it becomes bigger, stronger, more powerful, more intrusive, more coercive, more corrupt, more haughty, more exclusive, more intimidating, more arbitrary, more dangerous and more directly threatening.

Our protests and demands go unheeded as they work for their own selfish ends, and the enrichment of themselves and their friends—by the billions of dollars— and our expense.

Thomas Jefferson said, “When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”

It is time to make them FEAR us. It is time to regain control over our government. And one way to do that is the wholesale defeat of incumbents. It would sent a very powerful and clear message: "We The People are in charge!" And it would have a chastising effect on every elected official across the country.

Alternatively, using our energy and resources to get a few good people elected to the rotting corpse of a pernicious system won't make the stink go away. We’ve got to burn the whole damned pestilent carcass to ashes!

The long term answer is not more Republicans in office, or fewer Democrats. That's a cosmetic and temporary stop-gap—

We need a Paradigm Shift. We need to reverse the balance of power and of fear. We should have the power, and the government the fear!

And when that happens, we can proceed to Drain the Swamp.

We need to make government permanently unattractive to vipers, vampires, cannibals and leeches. We need it to attract a "better class" of person. We can begin by stripping all the perks, privileges, profit and power from the jobs.

Here's a quick and dirty list of some specifics we could work for:

Terms Limits
Deep Salary Cuts for all government workers & elected officials
Abolish government worker unions

The end of:
Golden parachute lifelong retirement benefits
Special health care
Gerrymandering
Lobbyist cash
Exemptions for Congress from the laws they pass
Earmarks
Pork barrel spending, etc.

Make passing bills they don’t read grounds for impeachment
Require a balanced budget
Require total transparency
Limit federal power to those enumerated in the Constitution

Restoration of the Founder’s requirement that State Legislatures appoint Senators
No cars, no drivers, no planes, no banks, no hairdressers, no restaurants, etc. paid by taxpayers
We must strip the Imperial State of all its grand trappings—and everything not specifically permitted to it by the Constitution

(We can refine/revise this list as seems appropriate)

When I say I want to take our country back, I’m not talking rhetorically, or metaphorically, I mean it literally. I want to return to our Founders’ ideals and our founding documents. And in today’s America, that is nothing short of revolutionary.

The question is, are we radical enough, revolutionary enough, serious enough, dedicated enough, outraged enough to see it through?

For those who offered the very reasonable & practical suggestions that we work to elect Republicans to office or “identify vulnerable Democrats” to defeat—with all due respect, there is already a large citizens' organization busy doing that. It’s called The Republican Party. That is their mission and their job.

It's not, however, mine; nor my vision for “We The People”.

Of course, that does not preclude any of us working for candidates we believe in. But “We The People” as an entity, will remain a non-partisan citizens' group not affiliated with any political party because neither of them represent us - ordinary, real Americans.

We have to stop participating in the old paradigm that the two corrupt parties have trapped us in: the useless, continual wrangling for power and influence by the elites of both sides, but never addressing, acknowledging, or changing the underlying disease.

It is the Power Elites of both Parties that are destroying out country. And it is the immense power and of the government they've built that makes such wrangling profitable and worthwhile—to the exclusion of consideration of what's good for the country—to all the "players" in Washington.

The rejection and marginalizing of real conservatives by the Beltway Republicans cannot be overstated, it cannot be overlooked, and it cannot be forgiven.

The "elite" Republicans' treatment of Sarah Palin is as clear a demonstration as is possible of their own sense of entitlement, their view of their own superiority, and their jealous rejection of sharing power with "The People".

They want this representative of real people...to just go away!

"We The People" stand firmly with the Founders in their belief that Government Is The Enemy of The People, and should be small, weak and under the control of the citizens. And it doesn't matter what letter it has after its name.

The Founders didn't include the Second Amendment so that we could hunt ducks! They intended to guarantee that the people would always be armed against the likelihood of tyrannical government.

Exactly as they feared, government, through the machinations of those who seek to use it for power, for riches, for influence, for ego-satisfaction, for immature idealism, for belief in false utopias, or because they think they know 'what's best', has become Leviathan. It has become the Imperial State.

If we are going to restore our Republic and our Rights for ourselves and our children, we must return to the vision, principles and values of our Founders of small government that is Of the People, By the People and For the People.

And we can only do that by dismantling the Imperial State, Draining the Washington Swamp and clearing out all the vipers that thrive there.

Of course, there are a few worthy Public Servants there and elsewhere struggling against the polluted current, and we appreciate them and thank them for their honor and effort. But against the combined strength, weight and power of the corrupt, their efforts are ultimately in vain.

Only the American People working in accord, speaking with one voice can Take Our Country Back. And that is the mission of "We The People". To cling to (learn, teach and share) our core American principles and values, to be true to the Founders' vision, to increase our numbers, to join with other groups, to grow the movement...

....to reclaim our nation and our heritage and become once again: The Land of the Free!

This is What Tyranny Looks Like

Shumer and his ilk are traitors to the Constitution, and to the government of, by and for the people. He, Obama and their crew, will do whatever is necessary to force ObamaCare down the throats of American Citizens whether we want it or not.

When did they become our rulers instead of our servants? How did we let this happen?

And what are we going to do about it?
